Terms of Service
The deal, in plain English.
These are the terms for using Sitebase. By making an account you agree to them. We kept them short on purpose. Last updated October 27, 2026.
What Sitebase is
Sitebase is a dashboard for a website you built and host somewhere else. It lets you change your site's words and pictures, collects messages from your site's forms, counts your visitors, and helps you get listed on Google. It adds one small script to your site and nothing else. It does not host your site and does not change its layout, colors, or code.
Your site and your content
Everything on your site is yours: the words, the pictures, the messages your customers send. We only store it so the dashboard can do its job. You are responsible for what you publish and for handling your customers' information properly. You can export or delete your content and messages at any time.
Trial, price, and payment
- Every site starts with a 14-day free trial. You can sign up, connect your site, and save changes without a card. Publishing changes needs a card on file, and nothing is charged until the trial ends.
- After that, Sitebase costs $9 a month or $79 a year, per site, plus any tax the law requires. The price you sign up at is yours for as long as you keep the site on Sitebase, even if we raise prices for new customers later.
- Payments go through Stripe. Your plan renews automatically until you cancel.
- You can cancel any time from your dashboard. Publishing stops at the end of the period you paid for.
- 15-day refund. If Sitebase is not for you, email us within 15 days of your first payment and we refund it in full. No forms, no questions.
If you stop paying
Your site keeps showing the last thing you published. It never goes blank and never goes dark because of a bill. You just cannot publish new changes until you come back, and messages keep arriving in your dashboard so nothing is lost.
What we ask of you
- Keep your sign-in email secure. Anyone who can read it can get into your dashboard.
- Do not use Sitebase for anything illegal, for spam, for misleading people, or to attack other systems.
- Do not try to break, copy, or resell the service.
If an account breaks these rules we may pause it. We will tell you why, and unless the problem is serious we will give you a chance to fix it first.
Text messages (SMS terms)
Sitebase, run by CB & G Ventures LLC, sends text messages on behalf of the businesses that use it. If you get one, here is the deal.
- What you get. Texts about something you asked a business for on its website: a booking confirmed or reminded, a reply to your message, a follow-up on a quote. Business owners who add their mobile number in Sitebase get alerts about new bookings and can answer Y or N.
- How you opted in. You gave your number and agreed to be texted on the business's booking, contact or quote form, in its website chat, or by texting the business first. Owners opt in on their Sitebase settings page.
- How often. It depends on what you asked for, usually a handful of texts around a booking. Never marketing.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- To stop. Reply STOP to any text and that business will not text you again through Sitebase. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@getsitebase.com.
- Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Your information. See our privacy policy. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Availability
We work hard to keep Sitebase up, and we designed it so that if we are ever unreachable your site still shows its own words. We do not promise that the service will be available at every moment, and we may change or improve features over time. If we ever shut Sitebase down, we will give you at least 60 days' notice and a way to export everything.
Limits on what we are responsible for
Sitebase is provided as is. We are not responsible for lost profits, lost customers, or other indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights the law does not let us limit.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we email you at least 14 days before the change takes effect. If you keep using Sitebase after that, the new terms apply.
